GoACT! presented by Ryan Gleason of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Purpose The GoACT! program provides local chambers of commerce training in effective issue advocacy and helps them establish or strengthen programs in government affairs and political action at the local, state, and federal levels. Successful chambers of commerce today are those with strong programs in government affairs, advocacy, and political action. It is the responsibility of chambers of commerce to serve as the voice of business and to influence public policy to improve the business climate and strengthen the economy. Participants GoACT! is designed for both staff and volunteer leaders GoAct! helps local chambers build a foundation for effective local advocacy that can easily be expanded to include advocacy at the state and federal levels. State chambers of commerce, business and industry associations, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce stand ready to partner with local chambers to enact business-friendly, economically sound public policy.
